She’s Crafty! Sandy Simpson Of Sandy Creative

One of the craftiest people I know lives in Woodland, Calif., with her husband and two (adorable) daughters. With a successful career in graphic design under her belt, Simpson decided to turn her attention to even more creative endeavors, and the result is SandyCreative.com

Among the highlights:

Sally The Sheep
Simpson wrote Sally The Sheep And The Very Cloudy Day , self published the book, does readings locally, and sells the book and “Sally” gear on her website.

Punky Jane
Next came Punky Jane jewelry, which evolved after Simpson spied a friend’s hand-stamped necklace with the names of her two sons stamped on it. “I loved it,” Simpson recalls. ”I causally shopped around to see if I could find something I liked and it just never clicked.”

So she investigated hand stamped silver jewelry, did a test run, came up with the name, designed the logo, business cards, etc. and created a website. She says she also “fell in love” with ETSY, where she sells her works.

Simpson says she’s focusing on learning new jewelry techniques and creating things that will set her work apart from everything else out there. She also enjoys searching for vintage metal stamps on eBay.

Creative Memories
In her “spare” time, Simpson is also a digital scrapbooker and a Creative Memories consultant.
